Technology are the tools used in learning computer used to support teaching and learning 

Media is a channel of communication and can be print, broadcast media, mass media and social media

    -    synchronous or asynchronous

    -    broadcast or communicative media

    -    media richness

    -    Interactivity

Affordances include: (Text-abstract ideas); (Graphics-visualization); (Audio-language learning); (Video-dynamic change); (Computing-objective assessment); (social media-collaboration)(face to face-depends on context)

criteria for selection includes: students, ease of use, cost and time; teaching characteristics, interaction; organisation issues, networking, security and privacy.

Challenges

Lack of access to computers, Lack of Internet connectivity, Pressure on teachers with no experience, parents embracing new roles to help students with limited access to technology.

with Mobile learning students can learn at their peak time, they can learn anywhere and anytime, it encourages life long learning, learning is learner-centered, it caters for different learning process, students learn in context, educate the special needs, educate females, educate the youths and displaced
