The global education system was disrupted since 2020 and even developed countries are having a difficulty time with challenges in online learning. Nigeria is not any different with concerns raised about the education system. On a channels TV interview programme in April 2020 the Minister of State for education Honourable Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba stated that the Ministry is focused on ICT approach – and the biggest target is 1 – 12 years students and that a new curricular has been developed, informing us that integrating the factors using UBEC to reach out more people therefore they have aligned with state governments to get them on board…. But the biggest challenges are the rural areas without internet infrastructure, access and costs

I am concerned of how our children both in rural and urban areas are going to be leaders, professors, leaders or even just ordinary middle class citizen in a world that is changing at lightning speed while basic technology skills such as communications skills in social media, the ability to learn independently is lacking… take ethics and responsibility specially for informal social networks, teamwork, flexibility, critical  thinking skills, digital skills, knowledge management are basic technological skills lacking for both early learners and adults in Nigeria. The financial and economically breakdown has caused most people not to even think of education as attitude, lack of vision and leaners that are not committed to developing themselves. What now??

Recently we have been informed of how the world is moving ahead with new digital advances such as

1.      AI and Big Data

2.      Robotics, Automation and Drones

3.      Cloud Computing

4.      Faster Networks and 5G.

5.    Extended Virtual Reality.

Bringing the future we saw in comics in our childhood literally alive, it is the new millennium and if you are not developing yourselves, you have remained in darkness... to start here are basic computer time saving skills you need.
